Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson announced his retirement from the NFL on Wednesday via his Instagram account. Wilson, born July 9, 1999, is 25 years old.[1][2]

The Wyoming native was selected by the Bengals in the third round, 65th overall, of the 2020 NFL Draft. He appeared in 12 games with two starts as a rookie before becoming a full-time starter in 2021.[2][3]

In a post, Wilson reflected on his career: "After a lot of thought and prayer, I’ve decided to officially retire from the NFL. From being a Wyoming kid with big dreams to hearing my name called in the 3rd round of the 2020 Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals… football gave me more than I ever could have imagined."[1]

Wilson highlighted his time with Cincinnati, including the 2021 postseason run that advanced the Bengals to Super Bowl LVI. He recorded a key interception in the divisional-round victory over the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium on January 22, 2022, securing a 19-16 win.[4][5]

"Cincinnati will always mean a lot to me," Wilson wrote. "Who Dey forever. 55 out."[1]

Through the 2023 season, Wilson had appeared in 63 games for the Bengals, with 413 combined tackles, 4.5 sacks and five interceptions. He posted 100-plus tackles in each of the 2021, 2022 and 2023 seasons.[3]

On November 3, 2024, Wilson recovered a fumble in the fourth quarter of Cincinnati's game against the Las Vegas Raiders at Paycor Stadium.[6]
